Stellar now has Chainlink Data Feeds available for developers building in Soroban, with Data Streams also part of the rollout and CCIP slated for later. In practical terms, this gives Stellar-based apps new pricing infrastructure for products that need reliable asset data.

Data Feeds are meant for reference prices inside smart contracts, while Data Streams handle faster updates for more time-sensitive use cases. Chainlink has also published testnet documentation for using those feeds in Soroban.

That matters because Stellar is already tied to tokenized finance. The network has said it supports more than $4 billion in tokenized assets and $5.4 billion in quarterly real-world asset payment volume. So the immediate change is better pricing rails for things like lending markets, derivatives, and prediction markets.

Chainlink’s data feeds landing on Stellar now put DeFi pricing infrastructure competition in the spotlight.
