Corrections Policy
The Coin Daily corrects errors of fact promptly and visibly. This page explains how the process works.
How to report an error
If you believe we have published a factual error — wrong figure, wrong attribution, wrong event description, or anything else — please email the contact form with:
- A link to the article.
- The specific text that you believe is incorrect.
- The corrected version, with a source where possible.
We aim to respond to correction requests within one business day.
How we handle corrections
When we identify or are informed of a factual error, we will:
- Verify the claim against primary sources.
- Correct the article in place if the error is confirmed.
- Add a correction note at the bottom of the article describing what was changed and when.
- Update the modified date on the article so search engines pick up the change.
- Log the correction on our corrections log below if the error was material.
For minor copy edits (typos, formatting), we update silently without a correction note.
For substantive errors of fact, we always add a correction note, even if the correction is small. The note will read along the lines of:
Correction (DD Month YYYY): An earlier version of this article stated [X]. The correct figure is [Y]. We regret the error.
What counts as a correction
A correction is required when an article contains a factual error. Examples include:
- Wrong numerical figure (price, market cap, transaction volume, date).
- Wrong attribution (quote attributed to the wrong person, or quote that was not made).
- Wrong description of an event, regulation, ruling, or transaction.
- Misidentification of a person, project, exchange, or jurisdiction.
Updates to a developing story (new information emerging after publication) are added as updates, not corrections, and are dated.
Editorial disagreement (you think our analysis or framing is wrong but the facts are correct) is not a correction. We welcome such feedback at the contact form, but it does not trigger a correction note.
