Bitcoin is pressing back into its familiar $87,000 resistance zone after an earlier push higher failed to hold. This time, price is back above the $85,000 support band, and futures open interest has rebuilt to $43.4 billion as the market retests the top of the range.

The Bitcoin price chart traces a steady path above the $85,384 support. Over 48 one-hour candles, price opens just above $85,200 and closes up 0.61% at $85,752, pushing against resistance at $86,132.

What matters here is whether Bitcoin can keep holding above $85,000 while it tests the top of the range. If that support slips, the case for a stronger structural retest starts to fade.
