Aave is nearing a key event on October 8: about $67.4 million worth of fixed-yield collateral, specifically the PT-AUSD-8 OCT 2026 token from Pendle, will mature. For borrowers who used this token as collateral on Aave’s Monad market, maturity means the asset redeems one-for-one into AUSD, forcing a choice: let the position convert, unwind positions, or replace the collateral to keep borrowing.

TokenLogic has proposed listing PT-AUSD-17 DEC 2026, the December-maturity version, as eligible collateral with an initial 20 million token cap. LlamaRisk described that December token as the likely rollover destination. That gives holders a possible route to roll collateral forward rather than exit, while leaving the size mismatch between the expiring pool and the proposed new cap as the key constraint to watch.
