XRP has pulled ahead of Bitcoin as the most-traded asset on Upbit, South Korea’s dominant crypto exchange, with about $350 million in turnover on September 21. By comparison, Bitcoin saw about $225.8 million traded the same day.

This was not a one-day anomaly. XRP outtraded Bitcoin on Upbit for 30 straight days, turning the story into a venue-specific signal about where crypto activity is concentrating rather than a broad statement about the whole market. Upbit is one of the most important won-denominated exchanges, so its rankings offer a clear read on South Korean retail participation without the noise of offshore dollar-stablecoin flows.

Over the same stretch, XRP rose 19%, from $1.28 on September 15 to $1.52, helping explain why turnover stayed elevated. For now, that has made XRP Upbit’s liquidity leader.
