Circle has expanded Gateway so businesses and developers can use one EURC balance across multiple blockchains instead of parking separate pools on each network. In practice, that means less pre-funding, fewer balances to track, and less need to keep topping up gas on every chain.

Circle says liquidity can move between supported networks in under half a second, and it has added gas-free EURC nanopayments for very small transfers where fees can otherwise eat the payment.

The setup stays non-custodial, with a 7-day trustless withdrawal option. The clearest winners here are businesses running multichain payment flows and the software handling those transfers in the background, not everyday retail users. And the real improvement is operational: it makes EURC easier to use across chains, but it does not by itself make euro stablecoin payments broadly mainstream.
