Kazakhstan’s Astana International Financial Centre Court has issued a binding order against Coinbase and several other crypto platforms, requiring them to stop offering digital asset services in the financial centre’s jurisdiction unless licensed. The ruling also bars distribution of those apps through Google Play and the Apple App Store inside the AIFC, extending the order beyond the exchanges themselves to the channels they use to reach users. Alongside Coinbase, the named platforms include BingX and HTX, with several others covered in the same action. AFSA said the court granted its claims on September 15, 2026, and said LBank was later removed through a variation order. It also said 9 crypto firms voluntarily restricted app access in Kazakhstan, leading to their cases being withdrawn after compliance. The core move here is straightforward: Kazakhstan’s regulator has gone beyond warnings and used the court to block unlicensed crypto app access in the AIFC.
