CME is about to launch Uniswap futures, extending regulated crypto derivatives to one of the best-known DeFi tokens. But into that debut, Uniswap is weakening rather than rallying. That sets up the key disconnect going into launch week: a new regulated product arriving while the spot token stays under pressure.

Uniswap dropped from $7.24 to just above $7 in the latest 48 hourly candles, down 3.2% in this window. Support sits at $6.99, resistance at $7.05, with the latest price tagging that support level into the CME launch.

CME plans to launch two Uniswap futures contracts on October 19: a standard contract and a micro version. That matters because it brings both larger and smaller traders into a regulated Uniswap derivatives market from day one, extending CME’s crypto lineup beyond the biggest benchmark tokens and into a major DeFi name.
