Samsung is adding USDC transfers on Solana to Samsung Wallet for eligible Galaxy devices in the U.S. beginning in the last week of October. For users, the change is simple: instead of opening a separate crypto app, they will be able to send dollar-backed stablecoins from the same wallet they already use for cards and tickets.

Samsung and the Solana Foundation say the feature could reach 82 million Galaxy devices in the United States. Cross-border transfers are planned to work with compatible crypto wallets and eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries. Users will still have to complete registration, identity verification, and authentication checks.

Why this matters is straightforward. Stablecoin transfers are moving out of specialist crypto apps and into a mainstream mobile wallet. Solana’s speed and low fees fit that use case, but the bigger shift is where the transaction happens: inside a consumer wallet people already know how to use.
