Robinhood Chain just pushed through $650 million in daily decentralized exchange volume, ranking fourth among all blockchains tracked by DefiLlama. That puts it alongside layer twos and mainnets that have been running for years, just weeks after going live. Robinhood is positioning this as a retail-facing, Ethereum-compatible layer two built for tokenized real-world assets and on-chain trading access, including tokenized equities, ETFs, and other assets.
The bigger question is what that volume actually represents. Uniswap is the largest decentralized exchange on the network, and Robinhood said it would serve as a primary public liquidity venue at launch. But recent reporting suggests early activity has been concentrated. That means the real test is whether Robinhood can turn this early burst into broader, more durable usage tied to the financial products it wants to bring on-chain.
For now, Robinhood has shown it can deliver headline scale on-chain. Whether that trading base broadens over time is the next thing to watch.
