On November 6, support for the XRP Ledger’s LendingProtocol amendment stood at 21 of 35 trusted validators, or 60%, up two votes from earlier in the week, but still eight short of the 29 needed to begin the 14-day activation countdown. And that countdown only matters if support holds above the threshold for the full window.
So despite the recent gain, XLS-66 is still firmly in the governance phase, not close to going live.
If approved, the amendment would add native fixed-term lending to XRP Ledger using pooled assets, instead of relying on a separate lending app layered on top. For now, the key signal is simple: whether validator support can move from incremental progress to sustained supermajority backing.
