Evernorth Holdings used its Nasdaq debut to send a clear signal by naming Hugo Jeandesboz, former co-chief investment officer at Coinbase Asset Management, as its new chief investment officer. Jeandesboz joins a company that is not framing itself as just a crypto holder.
With around 473 million XRP, valued near $672 million, plus $300 million in cash before expenses, Evernorth is staffing up for active treasury management. Founder Asheesh Birla set the mandate explicitly: Jeandesboz is expected to lead treasury allocation and liquidity management as Evernorth pursues lending, liquidity provision, and other yield strategies tied to those holdings.
That is why bringing in a senior executive with institutional digital-asset experience matters. For a company entering public markets under the ticker XRPN, the stake is credibility: showing investors that the digital-asset balance sheet comes with real expertise behind it, not just promotional intent. The message from day 1 is clear: Evernorth wants to be judged on execution, not simply on the size of its XRP treasury or the profile of its new hire.
