Ripple unlocked 1 billion XRP from escrow on October 1 as part of its regular monthly release schedule. That kind of supply event is usually treated as routine.

What makes this one stand out is the timing. SEC filings show Armada Acquisition Corp. Two shareholders were due to vote on September 30 on a merger with Evernorth Holdings. If that deal closes, Evernorth plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN.

Those same filings say Evernorth is expected to start with at least 473 million XRP on its balance sheet. In other words, the proposed company would give stock-market investors a public vehicle built around holding XRP.

That does not change the status of Ripple’s escrow release, which is still following its normal schedule. And Evernorth still has to complete the merger and meet Nasdaq’s listing conditions. But the overlap matters because a routine XRP supply event is landing in the same window as a proposed public company that would hold a large XRP position. One is about tokens entering circulation on schedule. The other is about potential stock-market exposure to the same asset.

Ripple’s 1B XRP unlock, alongside Evernorth’s move toward an XRPN listing, is the pressure point to watch next.
