Solana just topped $3 trillion in cumulative decentralized exchange trading volume, setting a new benchmark for onchain activity. The milestone reflects repeated use across trading categories, not a single one-off spike. Galaxy Research says Solana-stablecoin and stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps now dominate most Solana DEX activity, while memecoins account for roughly 15% to 20% of volume and tokenized stocks and other wrapped assets hover around 10%. That lines up with analysis showing stablecoin swaps climbed from 6% to 19% of Solana spot volume over the past year, even as memecoin share fell.
A daily DEX volume print reached $1.45 billion on September 5. But over a 30-day stretch, Solana remained well ahead, with more than $65 billion in cumulative DEX trades. The bigger point is what drives that lead: a broader mix of stablecoin, DeFi, and wrapped-asset activity rather than a single speculative burst.
Solana clearing $3 trillion in cumulative DEX volume is the milestone that sets the pace for onchain trading next.
