ZetaChain token holders have just approved a major shift for their network, with proposal 68 passing by 99.4% support. This is a governance-led decision to migrate the ZETA token directly onto Solana as an SPL asset, Solana’s standard for fungible tokens.

The proposal sets out a 1-to-1 conversion from existing ZETA tokens to Solana-native SPL tokens, keeps the total supply capped at 2.1 billion, and leaves vesting schedules unchanged. A second proposal is expected to set the migration process, timeline, and the shutdown of ZetaChain’s existing layer one.

The vote was not just a token-format change. In practice, it shifts how ZETA would live, circulate, and operate inside Solana’s environment rather than ZetaChain’s existing standalone network.

For holders and users, tokens on Ethereum and BNB Chain are not affected in the short term; any changes will depend on exchange support and final migration details. The next checkpoint is whether the follow-up proposal and partner exchanges deliver a smooth transition. For now, the overwhelming vote is a clear signal that the network is moving its token infrastructure onto Solana.
