RippleX is moving the XRP Ledger toward its Batch V1.1 upgrade, aimed at improving how transactions are grouped and settled on the network. The feature would allow up to 8 linked transactions to be submitted as a single atomic operation. That means all of them either settle together or all fail, with no risk that one piece goes through while the others do not.

For asset managers and commercial users, this expands what kinds of workflows can be managed directly on chain, especially processes that depend on multiple interconnected steps.

Technically, the network is nearly there: 30 of the ledger’s 35 tracked validators currently back the amendment, above the 28 votes needed to start the activation countdown. Under XRP Ledger rules, validator votes can still shift before the upgrade is finalized, so the key next checkpoint is whether support stays above the 80% threshold through the scheduled activation window after September 29.

This is not just a new transaction feature; it is also a test of how the ledger’s validator-driven governance moves a proposed upgrade toward production use.
