Ripple minted another 10 million RLUSD on the XRP Ledger on August 17, pushing RLUSD supply on that network further above 1 billion. Across XRP Ledger and Ethereum, the last public count was just over 1.7 billion in circulation after that mint.

But the bigger supply is running ahead of activity. September has brought slower XRP Ledger usage than the burst seen in August, so a larger RLUSD balance does not automatically mean more active wallets or more payments. Some of those tokens can sit in treasury or settlement accounts while network demand cools.

That matters because supply growth is easier to spot than real usage. RLUSD is getting bigger on XRPL, but the near-term read on adoption depends on whether transaction activity starts matching that token base.

On the protocol side, the fixCleanup 330 amendment was included in XRP Ledger version 3.3.0. It changes how certain transactions are processed and helps keep older nodes in sync.

Ripple’s next RLUSD mint, and whether XRP Ledger activity catches up, is the tell for stablecoin demand into next week.
