Coinbase’s push into tokenized U S equities is already producing a clear winner on its Base blockchain. Since Coinbase-issued stock tokens went live on August 24, Aerodrome, the leading decentralized exchange on Base, has captured more than 79% of tokenized stock trading volume on the network, making it the main venue for this new on-chain equity activity.

Coinbase launched with tokenized big tech names including Apple and Nvidia, alongside other major U S stocks on Base under a new issuance framework. Users could hold fractional shares in self-custody wallets while accessing liquidity on Aerodrome across the wider Base decentralized-finance ecosystem. Uniswap said in June that its real-world-asset pools had processed more than $9.1 billion in swaps protocol-wide.
