BitMine Immersion Technologies just reported a new purchase of 53,501 Ethereum, lifting its treasury to 5,901,112 Ethereum. That’s about 4.9% of all Ethereum in circulation, based on the supply figure of 120.7 million tokens. BitMine values its stack at just under $14.8 billion.
This is not the ETF demand story. BitMine is building a direct on-balance-sheet position, nearly hitting the public goal it has telegraphed for months: owning 5% of Ethereum’s reported float. The company’s update marks 65 consecutive weeks of accumulation.
When a single public buyer moves toward a measurable chunk of circulating supply, treasury concentration becomes part of the market conversation. The relevant risk shifts: it’s about how much Ethereum one corporate actor controls, not just whether investor inflows are rising. The market will be watching if BitMine crosses the 5% threshold, or if it pauses short. And longer term, whether other companies adopt the same accumulation strategy, pushing balance-sheet buying into the mainstream for Ethereum, much like the Bitcoin treasury wave before it.
