Uniswap is moving deeper into lending, and the real story here is retention: it wants users to stay inside its app for yield, not leave after a swap. Its new Earn feature lets users deposit USDC, USDT, and Ethereum into Morpho vaults directly from Uniswap’s web app and wallet.

That matters because the lending flow now sits in the same place users already go for swaps and liquidity. Morpho supplies the lending rails, Gauntlet manages vault curation and allocations, and Uniswap says it is not adding an extra Earn fee beyond normal Ethereum network costs.

So this is less about one more feature launch and more about product strategy. If Uniswap can keep trading, liquidity, and lending in one interface, it has a better shot at holding user activity inside its own ecosystem instead of sending that demand elsewhere.
