Ripple is partnering with the University of Kansas in a 5-year deal that will put the XRP logo directly on Jayhawks athletic uniforms, marking what Kansas Athletics calls the first cryptocurrency jersey patch arrangement in a major NCAA Division I program. The partnership spans multiple sports and gives Ripple repeated exposure across televised games, putting XRP into one of the most mainstream settings US crypto branding has reached so far. Kansas Athletics says Ripple chose the department as a platform to introduce XRP to millions of sports fans, highlighting a push toward broad, non-crypto-native audiences.

The partnership also includes blockchain education programs tied to the university. That makes the deal more than a visibility play, extending it into campus programming as well. For Ripple, it also builds on previous blockchain outreach at Kansas by moving that relationship into a much more public athletic setting.

The key watchpoint now is whether the education piece turns into meaningful student programming. Either way, Ripple’s move puts XRP branding on a national stage through college sports.
