Hsiao-Wei Wang has stepped down effective immediately as co-executive director and board member at the Ethereum Foundation. She was elevated to that role in March alongside Tomasz Stańczak as part of a leadership restructuring, but Stańczak had already announced his own exit in February, leading to Bastian Aue’s appointment as interim co-executive director. So within months, both leaders introduced under the new structure are out.

That does not mean Ethereum’s core network operations suddenly change. The foundation is a Swiss nonprofit focused on research, coordination, and ecosystem development, not the operator of the chain itself. But for developers, researchers, and projects that look to the foundation for direction and continuity, this is another leadership reset at a key coordinating institution.
